What happens is when you turn it on it doesn't show anything on the built in LCD screen at all. You can only see anything when you connect an external monitor.

      Hi,
      How old is your controller?
There are several causes, and the HDD is one of them, but first you need to check the controller hardware. Do that in this following order :
Open your controller and check that the power supply is OK (Green led (or red) lighting on the main board).
After that switch off the controller and remove the main plug.
Remove all IDE board (like engine interface), remove HDD and memories (note where those ones are placed).
Remove all external connections (mousse, keyboard, screen...)
Connect the main plug and switch on the controller, if the main board is correct they are some bips (Ti..TI..ti) to indicate that the memories are out (missing) . It means that our main board is ok. (note : if no bip ! means that: first the power supply can be defect (less expansive) , or the main board itself (more expansive). If a microprocessor is defect it is very hard to know. don't remove this (those) ones.
Put the memories back. (of course switch off)
At this step you can connect a screen and check the boot on it, it stops at "No system disk"
Switch off the controller and replug the HDD unit.
Switch on, you will heard some noise on DVD reader and also on the HDD, if not the HDD is defect.
The most of time, in this case the software is not involved that mostly the HDD. (power down at customer site during ripping)

Of course you need a new HDD and software.
I hope that this information can help you.
(Sorry I'm French my english is not quite well).
      Kind regards,
      Twinax

        set left margin
        *** ERROR 952 in uidisp_lcdprim.c->uidisp_UIB_Open().327 (38/Function not implemented): Couldn't find the UIB.

THis is what is displayed on the external monitor we connected. The LCD on the fiery doesn't show anything and the LED on the fiery is Orange.

They come with it. Look in the box, minus that... you can get it off of Konica's web site under the "system code" area.
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

When you burn the DVD PLEASE BE SURE TO BURN THE DISK AT A LOW SPEED!! I've had some (ok a few) error out when ya burn them "fast" be sure to select a VERY slow speed. Like 2x maybe 4x for a DVD.

The fiery being discussed is probably a very new Pro80. The new type has 6 USB ports on the back; the Pro80 version 1 only had 4 USB's on the back.

You will need Fiery version 3.0 for this hardware as the older Fiery versions do not work on this thing.
