[Misc] B4052 / b4752 replace imaging unit message

    Hi All,

I have a few B4052's, need to disable the replace imaging unit message.
I have attempted DIPSW 51 Hex 20 and have had no luck.

Is there any other dipsw that could assist me with this issue.

Glad to see you are not sacked like the many other of the Durban techs.

First tel me how you get those image units to run over life...

Ain't a Konica Minolta so not sure if KM kung fu will work

They are chipped and not sure if a hack exists.
Sure you will be able to get chips/programmer to get past that.
    Whatever

They are chipped don't know if usual KM stuff will work. They're quite cheep and I don't think they will last longer than quoted so not much to bother.

        Hi Allan,

Taking it a day at a time.

The site has upgraded 80 of thier B4050's to the mentioned model. They print 10% coverage at max the B4050 dipsw work fine I got approximately 100000k per Imaging unit. Thought I could get rid of the message on the B4052.

          Hi,

I must agree with you, however I am trying to take care of the pennys as I have to produce cost of sale stats on a monthly basis. I am just looking for room for improvement where possible.

once the message comes up its too late, its there until its replaced.
                but before that...
[Service Mode] -> [System 2] -> [Unit Change] set warning times to "do not display"
you can also set switch 227 to 80 so it hides the consumable gauges in utility.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
                The medication helps though...

My bizhub 4052 imaging units often last 70% of their expected life. Rare units have lasted over 100%. Allan sure the printer stops? For now, I haven't had anyone stop by. The only problem was the quality but some customers were fine with it because they only printed text.

I had this earlier this week. That setting only removes the near end of life warning. It still comes to a hard stop at the prescribed time, and now with no warning to get an IU ahead of time.

                      Konica Minolta Return Program cartridges
(UAR) are patented print cartridges sold at a
discount in exchange for the customer's
agreement to the license requirements that the
cartridges will be used only once and returned
only to manufacturer for remanufacturing or
                      recycling. These patented cartridges are
licensed for single use only and will stop working
after delivering a fixed amount of toner. Toner
may remain in the cartridge when replacement is
                      required. Standard replacement cartridges
(STD) are sold without these restrictions.

If the customer puts a UAR in it will halt at 60K, A STD will continue indef. (IUP20-UAR, IUP21-STD)

This applied to a wide range of these smaller desktop printers/MFPs and can apply to both toner and IUs
