Konica Minolta bizhub c224e drum chip when rebild the drum unit

Hi to all

I have konica minolta bizhub c224e, i want to rebild drum unit with new opc drum, blade and charge from Katun. Please tell me do i need to put new chip to reset the machine or not?

Somewhere i read that i must change drum unit chip so machine will know that the drum is new.

Change the chip also if its already due for replacement

It is not geting any message but when i opened drum life its shows 0%

Well its already due for replacement when it's in zero, hope the life is on non stop and not displaying any message to replace the drum.

Yes change chip. Machine needs to know it's a new drum to do the auto adjustments.

I've rebuilt at least 100 drums for the "4" series and they work great. I get the parts from copylite but like Katun charge grid because it has the sponge pad on one side like OEM. All other aftermarket grids don't have it. I've used the old sponge or left off with no problems.
