    Fuser reset

    Ok folks Happy Friday.
So I've got the new fuser and the 454e is kicking again.
I installed it but the levels are still showing 32%, same as the old one. Do I have to reset it? Is there a way to reset it?
The same things happened when I install the toner and ozone filters.

    Please assist thanks
    G

    Re: Fuser reset

Yes you need to reset those particular consumables in tech rep/service mode.

Service Mode > Counter > Life > select the ozone filter, toner filter, etc. > Press clear.

For fusing unit and transfer belt reset:

Service Mode > Counter > Life > New Release button > OPEN the front door of the MFP > select Fuser and/or Belt > press Start button

    * I believe the drums and developing units are the only consumables that have their counters automatically reset (and toner). Everything else including feed rollers, transfer roller, etc. need to have their counters cleared manually.

Go into life. Select new release, open the front door, select fuser, press start. Good to go.

            The medication helps though...
