I've had success on the 808 and 658e with replacing the CCDB. They are the same CCDB for both.

This was a common error on the 284e, 554e, and 754e, also solved by the CCDB. =^..^=

    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

Only can add that on 754e I replaced CCDB KM have new preventive FW to cope with that error.

Firmware can fix if it hasn't gone too far. But sound like it too late.

For curiosity. What is causing the problem? Overheating? I would like to understand what they did in the firmware to fix this problem

Its a voltage issue. Too much to be exact. New fw drops it down quite a bit. But if its gone its gone.

From what fw version is this fix introduced?

Just had a look again on tech bulletin and the fw fix is for the 654e not the 658. Updating fw wouldn't hurt but sounds like ccd is gone.

I've run into this problem a couple of times. The first time kicked my ass. Also, used to have problems with desktop copier not being level causing void area on one side of the page.

This week I updated a C258 and a C658 with the G00-E1 version which gives me the Portuguese language here in Brazil.

After update, both printers gave me C-9401

The only FW that saved me was the G00-W4.

They came back and work well

We've got a couple of bizhub 808's that are printing 250K a month and scanning 500K or more per month. The codes will start at 1.5M scans and become more and more frequent. They automatically reset, so most of the time the enduser doesn't know they are occurring. When it gets to twice/three times a day I'll replace the CCDB and it goes away. These huge scanning volumes kill a CCD quick. =^..^=
