Pro 1100 questions and heads up.

Been maintaining 951 1052 and 1250 machines for a while now. We have been buying used machines for our base. Now the Pro 951 machines are getting more difficult to get hold of. Next best thing would be the Pro 1100. I compared the 1100 with the 951 and i like the 951 better, at least on paper. 951 can be manipulated concerning the IDS, DPS and TCR adjustment. That helps to overcome some environmental issues and also allows me get the consumable to run leaner and go past yield a bit. Need to pull tricks to be competitive and to get these deals. High volumes with very little margin. To make it worse is that the coverage runs at 10 - 14% chowing toner at a pace.

First issue i was warned about was the error C-2802. Been told the developer will not make yield on this machine and the IDS is super sensitive. Is that true?
Toner delivery system seems less complicated hope that works. Never had a real problem with the 951 air delivery system and was super easy to trouble shoot for when there is an issue.

Any hints and tips on these Pro 1100 machines would be much appreciated.

I haven't had any developer premature failure. I've got a lot of good things to say about this series of machines. Another drawback of the 1100: You lose the de-curl adjustment that's soooo useful on the 1052/1250P.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
