    C2070

What causes this type of damage to the ITB?

old belt was due but not bad.

Client running a job that is a 3 page set, pg1 color, pg2/3 B&W. So ITB cams after 3 pages....

    Old belt shreaded...
replaced with new belt, did PM.
same damage and code C4661) after 10 pages.

Dropbox - 2070 itb - Simplify your life

COULD it be the CAMMING of the GREYSCALE TO CYMK --
    can this belt still run?
do you replace the idler roller because of the scoring?

Is the belt tensioning evenly when you have it fully assembled? I've had a catastrophic failure like this when the installing tech tensioned one side, but not the other. It lasted only a few copies.

Perhaps unrelated, but I've seen a similar ripple pattern in the belt accompanied by a rip, on a Toshiba 45cpm. Different engine design, you understand, but the waste bottle became packed full at the primary transfer belt cleaning unit. The compacted toner forced the cleaning auger spring up out of the base of the cleaning unit, and it got pulled in between the belt and the cleaning roller. It was a nasty mess to clean up. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

How old is the ITB cleaning unit? Are both red screws removed to allow blade to contact the belt?

        New belt, same ripple...

looks like idle roller is scored up pretty good, going to scotchbright.
        see if it holds.

New belt, new cleaning unit and idle roller on order.

Turn off auto calibration, see if if can these few jobs out.

Could it be that its steering it off to the side pressing the belt over the edge?
Then the steering sensor is not reacting to stop rotation?

Changed any of the other TBU parts recently?
          Whatever
