Try lifting on the front left side of the scanner. Try to hold it up, as the machine scans. If it is better, might be a bent frame.

Gee that is out of focus. The was machine manhandled. Bear hug could help. Scanner shoes(PTFE sliders on bottom of scanner) there?
The entire 1st mirror assy could also be ucked.
