    CXX1i series vs CXX0i series

    Hello,

Do anyone know the difference between these two series machines? Seems almost same.

the Cxx1is have a lot more in the way of security features, also, if you have the LK116 antivirus licence, then you have it visible on the screen at all times. On the C3351i, which is the only one I've seen, there's a "quick set up" for networking
Tip for the day; Treat every problem as your dog would.....If you cant eat it or f*ck it....then p*ss on it & walk away...

The software differences are equalized with the firmware, which makes them the same. The only real differences are with the fuser, in the case of the A3 machines, and in the infernal A4 machines, the fact that they come with all the hardware modifications that were released for the xx0 range.
In both cases they come with an installation wizard that can be deactivated, so it's silly.
So they are basically the same, the salesmen are going to have a hard time explaining to a customer with a C250i why he should change it for a C251i.

          - [A3] different fusing unit (some internal modifications to prevent paper jams, and premature failures - but still no real improvement for fusing/fusability? problems known since BH308e)
          - [A3] some modifications in black drum unit (longer cleaning blade)
          - [A3] modified output tray
          - [A3] different document feeder (downward compatibility, as far as I remember)
          - [?] different connectors organization on Base Board (for easier disconnection/connection)
          - [A3/A4] quick set-up by default (on xxx0i machines also available with firmware G00-RB and firmware version set as 2.3)
          - [A4] modified imaging units, and firmware (known from previous version - more developer and modified screw to prevent TCR ratio problems)
          - [A3/A4] software improvements (nothing spectacular, and everything will be available on xxx0i too)

Not really - even if the names are the same (DF-632/DF-714) there will be different models:
              DF-632 for C250i - AAYHWY1
              DF-632 for C251i - AAYHWY2
              DF-714 for C250i - AAMNWY1
              DF-714 for C251i - AAMNWY2

That's quite popular (annoying) in production machines - same name of option through 4 generations of machines but different model, and you always need to check serial number and compare with documentation to know if this one is compatible with the machine...

Big caution on this to all techs. WY2 won't work on 0i machine... don't ask how....

I think all of that is included in the RB firmware for the older machines.
