Konica Minolta 458e front of developer keeps piling up.

I have a tech who was working on a 458e BW unit, where the front of the developer brush was coming out and piling up and getting on the drum and then the itb unit with developer and we had to remove and clean all components. Ordered a Dev from Copylite and he swapped it and it did the same thing only in the front for a couple inches. Looked for any binding or mylars bent and saw none. Although the Developer was fairly inexpensive from China and less than 200 bucks. What's the chance 2 developers have the same problem. Has anyone seen this problem. We don't have any other spares to test in it at present. Wanted to check here to see if any ideas or anyone has seen? Thanks for any ideas.

Use OEM developer unit. Do you also use compatible drum or/and ITB?

Not anymore but the Developer Unit from China came in an OEM box which I don't understand from Copylite. We and The owner don't like to try to get warranty's with them anymore because they have a director of research there who denies everything we send back and says they were not from them. So if i were to send this back this person would say it was any other reason ,than their fault or part. I did get one running even though I did not have one I had a 454 used developer and changed the front mounting unit that comes off with a couple clips then had to change the atc sensor black plate on the developer due to the cut out was different also. Would an developer in an OEM box be from China? Just was so frustrating but did a work around it the 454 uses the same developer bag and was an OEM because it didn't have China listed on the developer.

        China is not guaranteed sorry!
458e isn't great model even OEM parts used.

I doubt 2 different dev units would spill developer from same place, OEM or not. I would look at something else causing issue. My first thought was that the drum is shorting on front side and pulling developer. Have you tried a different drum?

Do you have it ending on PH unit glass and thus white banding?

I actually had 2 units doing his they were from Copylite and they called them OEM even though made in China. We jujst dtry not to deal with them for these parts anymore. They even admitted they were having a rash of problems with them. Thanks
