    C227 new release fuser unit

Dumb question, but how do we reset fuser unit new release for the c227? The machine doesn’t respond to the normal procedure of new release like the bigger machines. We don’t have the service manual or access to the system for this model. Have tried the obvious ones of opening the door and or front cover but the start key doesn’t illuminate blue. The life is still in the 80%s but we put a new reco unit in as the previous had damage. Is there a fw dipsw that needs to be triggered to allow the new release?
    thanks!

The C227 is the same as previous models as you stated.

In copy screen mode open the front door & check that the screen displays that the front door is actually open.

Also there is a 'New Release Disable Mode' check this has not been enabled. (see attached)

We can supply the service manual & firmware should you need it

Great info thank you for that!

the problem was a faulty microswitch. It was enough to trigger front door closed but not enough to successfully allow the new release. Bizarre but all rectified. Reminds me of Toshiba finisher jams but the door is closed with those switches lol
