    [Misc] Opinions on c360i?

So with a client's c308 having issues (thanks to all for the help!), I've been on the lookout for possible replacements. I ran across a low-hour c360i for ~$2500, which I think is a decent deal.
I'm not familiar with these newer-series machines, and was hoping I could get you folks' advice. Are they as solid as the previous-gen machines? Anything I should look out for? Any problem areas? I saw Kenny's post about the print quality issues he's having. Is this common?
How about consumables... is this series significantly more expensive to feed that previous versions?
I'm just trying to make sure I'm not jumping into a pit on a machine that's not as great as it appears as first glance. I figured you folk shave the experience to tell me if I'm about to make a mistake.
    Any/all advice greatly appreciated!

It's not as good as the C308 type. VERY, VERY Overpriced consumables, CPU boards and SSD failures, IN UK £300+ each. If you have a c308 I would just run that. Old yes but, a reliable workhorse with Good CQ

Thanks for the feedback. The consumables for the C360i are about $100 more for the full set over the C308, but have a little higher yield. While I'm not thrilled that it's higher, I wouldn't exactly call that "very, very overpriced". Perhaps just very overpriced. lol
Anyway, given that our C308 is damaged, and somewhat non-repairable, would you be wary of getting a C360i? It sounds like you're not really a fan of them. Has the durability and quality of the Bizhub machines dropped in recent years, like most things? :/
If not a C360i, what other (more recent) machine, if any, would you recommend?

Knowing what we list our off-lease C360i for, that price seems very high. Might be worth shopping around if that is the route you want to go.

Oh? Would you mind sharing your pricing, or sending me a link to your site? I have nothing to compare against, and the one site I did find was showing them at around $3500. Although I now notice that that same site shows the price as "Negotiable - Subject to Market Conditions".

C308 did better with thicker paper imho.
the whole i series i never had a good thick paper coverage.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
            The medication helps though...

I work pretty much exclusively on KM machines, The i series are decent machines for most of the models, fuser's do seem to wear a little fast, I usually get 100-125k on a black drum, they do get random issues I didn't notice as often on previous generations like clutch problems or board problems but overall I wouldn't have a problem recommending them if a friend was asking I would say they're close to as good as the 8 series.

Thanks. That makes me feel a little better. I mentioned the machine to my boss, along with the concerns noted by the others. It'll be up to him if he's interested in pursuing it or not.
I'm still interested in seeing the pricing that matts213 mentioned. If we can get it cheaper, I'm all for it.

Message me; I dont want to promote in here but if you're a tech/dealer I can get you better pricing then you mentioned on used machines.

matts213, I would love to respond to your PM, but I can't get the message center to load. I've tried on 2 different browsers, and it just goes to a blank page. If I ever get it open, we can talk. I saw the preview, and it looks awesome.
