    Konica bizhub 227 drum issue

I have a machine that seeks to peal the coating off of the drum on the rear side. Has anyone had an issue like this before? Everything else looks good and the waste tank is new also. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance. copyguy69

About drum life how many copies? Also I have seen transfer roller doing this. Do you have any issues besides obvious drum pealing? These drums can last 2x,3x quoted life. I don't like this series but they are runners.

If we are talking a 227 I am pretty sure that is a direct drum to secondary transfer roller/paper connection. Make sure thick paper is set to the right setting and make sure to replace the secondary transfer roller periodically.

Almost sounds like the rear bushings on the on the old Bizhub dv units

I have it very well proven, when changing the drum you have to change the transfer roller or this will happen. And if the drum reaches the end of life by number of copies and you don't want to replace it at that time, you have to change at least the transfer roller.

Thanks for the replies. Ordered a transfer kit for it. It would be logical because that is the only thing that comes in direct contact with the drum other than paper. Thing that threw me off is that it looks perfectly fine. copyguy69
