printer driver setting with user authentication

    Hello,

One color MFP user set black only public and some color/black accounts.
On PCL or PS driver the pop up window appear anytime when we click this option, the customer request to pop up only on non public user( it means public user can print directly )
    How to get this setting?

setup 2 print queues, one called color and check the box for popup and another queue for black only and lock the password in the driver in the advanced tab, printing defaults, printing preferences, user auth/acct track and check public user.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
      The medication helps though...

later on they created a black only public and several color/black accounts, and desire to direct print B/W jobs .
i turned on " print without authentication -> black only ", however the machine shows " login error ".
          i miss some settings ??

Yes. Like I mentioned above just lock "public user" in their driver preferences.

You should not be turning on print w/o authentication and using account track/user authentication. If you set up the public user the machine knows to allow rules based printing (ie no color, no user box ect..) and prints the job. Print w/o authentication is used when a 3rd party app is controlling access. The machine is told that any print job that comes in is safe to print. User authentication and print without authentication is like a double check that will always fail. E
