    Multibit software switch

Looking at the software switches for the Zeus S series line, it seems that SW100 has four very different positions, which might all be beneficial to apply.

    Bit 1:
Hex 01 = Enhance color separation performance during CompactPDF scanning: Use parameters for addressing market issues.
Hex 02 = Further enhance color separation performance during CompactPDF scanning beyond DipSW 100 HEX01: Use additional parameters for addressing market issues.
Hex 04 = For 7-inch panels, the ability to display the registered destination in two lines and set the scroll width to two lines: Enabled.

    Bit 2:
Hex 10 = Enable/disable the function for distinguishing fluorescent pen colors during copying/scanning: Enabled.

But, they are all on the same SW100
Am I right in thinking the bit's are additive?
So it's possible to have combinations of the values like 00010111 to get Hex 17 and that all the above would apply from the single switch?

I'm wondering if this works for function version settings also. As in, SW25 i currently have set to B0 (10110000) for my C458, because the SM says to do so. But the SM is designed to accomodate for the whole range down to the lowest model.
It looks like the starting default for the C458 was V4.0 of the function version where SW was hex 40 (01000000), im wondering if (11110000) hex f0 might unlock more functionality? ie. so that bits 1-4 are all 1?
Probably playing with fire, but curious if anyone has tried this?

    nah, its not 40
dipsw versions for the 458 are
    00 - v1
    10-v2
    20-v2.1
    30-v2.2
    40-3
    60-3.2
    70-3.3
    80-3.4
    90-v4
    a0-4.1
    b0-4.2

on page i-148 of the sm V4.2
F0 would work if you had FW V5/6 which isnt out and probs wont get released
