I have a customer with a Mark Andy Digital One (Accuriolabel 230 engine). They called me last week regarding a C-E009 code. This code comes back to a processing error. I suspected some kind of fluke or perhaps a corrupt job. They reset the machine and shortly thereafter they were showing the toners depleted and not registering replacements. This started with one color and quickly escalated to all 4.
I come out the next day 9-12 to see what's going on. I was unable to to force the toner bottles to turn via state confirmation mode. Also, the toner door open/close signal was not changing in state confirmation mode. Check the switch and found a lack of 24v at the switch as well as for the toner bottle clutches. Checked the printer control board and discovered a blown ICP 3. I replaced the ICP and managed to restore the voltage but the machine was still not registering open/close and still not getting toner bottles to turn.
So yesterday I replaced the printer control board and that fixed the issue. PM'd the machine and they got to work printing a long run of labels. Whew! Called it a day.
3 hours later the customer messages me. They got another C-E009 and upon reset, the toner problem is back.
Has anyone seen a similar issue with the C1060 series of engines? I plan to go back and replace all 4 bottle clutches and yet another PRCB and also get a closer look at the wiring. I can see no correlation though between the C-E009 code and a blown ICP3 though... This one has me miffed.
Any input or theory's would be helpful.
