c3350 Locked out of admin mode.

Hi,

Have a c3350 which I don't know the admin password to. I've tried all the generic passwords but no luck.

I've gone into service mode to try and reset the admin password but it wont let me as again its been locked due to too many attempts.

I've tried to reset the lock by pressing the STOP 0-9-3-1-7 and waiting around 10 mins but it still wont let me in.

Any ideas?

Not sure if this will be helpful or not, as it sounds like you don't know the password for service mode either, but here you go...

NOTE
• Access attempts to the Service Mode with a CE password is limited to up to 3 times.
If the number of invalid access attempts reaches three, your access is locked. Until access lock is released, the Service
Mode is not accessible.
To release access lock, turning OFF/ON the power switch and rebooting the machine is necessary.
(When the machine is rebooted, the invalid access attempts count is cleared.)

RESET ADMINISTRATOR LOCKOUT
• Enter Security Service Mode:

• Starting procedure
• 1. Call the Service Mode to the screen.
• 2. Display the 10-key pad, and press the following keys in this order.
• Stop -> 2 -> 2 -> 2 -> 0 -> 0
• 3. The Billing Setting screen appears.

• Administrator Unlocking:

• Use
• • To release an access lock that is activated after an administrator password authentication.
• • To release the access lock with service authority when an administrator password authentication fails and the access lock is activated.
• • When the 5 minutes elapses after the main power switch is turned OFF and ON, the machine releases the access lock.
• In addition to these operations, this setting provides another way to release the access lock.
• Procedure
• 1. Touch [Administrator unlocking].
• 2. Touch [OK] to release an access lock.
• Exiting procedure
• 1. Touch [Close].
• 2. Turn OFF the main power switch. Wait 10 seconds, then turn ON the main power switch again.
