The only way to get a good look at this area of the machine is to lay on your back underneath the imaging drawer, with the drawer pulled out. Bring a small flashlight. It will be dark. At the fuser end of the ADU you will find two posts. At the bypass end of the ADU you will find two posts. These posts are peened into a metal bracket, which screws to the drawer. They keep the ADU aligned with the rest of the machine, or at least they are supposed to when the screws are snug. The only illustration that accidentally captures a little of the post at the fuser front is right here:

I had a call for this a while ago. I'm trying to remember how it went.
I think that I discovered that the screws that secure the posts that align the imaging drawer into the machine frame had loosened up and the posts were wobbling. Also some of the drawer rail screws were missing. When I secured those posts and rails, I noticed that the skew became consistent and much worse. Some previous tech had attempted physical adjustments for duplex skew, but had never noticed that the posts were loose. All these slotted mechanical adjustments had been red-painted at the factory. My first step was to move every mechanical skew adjustment back to that factory red mark (when there was a visible red mark).
I was completely shocked to discover that the skew was gone ... I mean completely gone. I never had to learn how to do all of those mechanical duplex adjustments. That's where I would start. =^..^=
Thank you for your help.
I couldn't figure out which section to check. Is it one of the sections in the photos? I would be very happy if you could mark it. Or if you could send me a photo of the place I'll check.Leave a comment:

Konica Minolta C6500 Duplex Print Alignment Problem
Hello Masters.
I have been using Konica Minolta C6500 for a long time. I started to have problems with double-sided printing. I make Both Sides Adjustment from the menu, but the back side (X) changes approximately 5mm. If it prints 3 pages correctly, it prints 2 pages incorrectly (an average value). The same result is also obtained with thin and thick papers. Is there a mechanical failure?. The sample photos are A4 Size. What do you think could be the reason? Thank you in advance for your help.Tags: None
