    Hello everybody.

i looked online in EFI and i found this "FIT101063085: Certificate Update for XPe. This is required for system updates to download new updates. the problem is that i cannot find it EFI downloads i only found a word document describing the problem.

its not gonna happen, 10 years ago sure but its not just a patch, there are no more xp updates its unsupported now. way too old.
they sold an upgrade to win 7 which was ram, bios update and win7 software. but you would be lucky to find it today.

that was 2014, EFI and Fiery arent even the same company anymore.
if you can find the patch and apply it im not so sure it will even do anything.
im hoping it does work out for you, i have 2 ic-413s ver 1.0 with the code 10 patch applied and there are zero available updates or patches.
        good luck, i mean it.

i have another machine with a working fully updated fiery (exactly the same) is it possible to copy the update files from the hdd of that machine? maybe it is a silly question but the problem is that with the basic installation without the updates the CWS doesn't read the paper gsm from the machine.
We made a new installation in a new HDD because the previous one lost the remote connection capability all the sudden and wasn't visible over the network. (it worked fine, we could print
          cws could log in)

          please help!

If thats the case why not use the fiery cloning tool and make a duplicate then just adjust the network info?

I would have suggested that first had i known you have a working backup.

right because the security standards of XP are gone and obsolete.
you can try the pale moon browser as its the only one that lets me connect to XP run fierys.

With the new installed os i can use remote desktop connection and Fiery WEB Tools with out any problem but i cannot update.
to the old install i cannot use RDC or Fiery Web Tools i suspect that something is corrupted but i dont now how to repair it since i cannot connect.
I downloaded pale moon as you suggested but it cannot connect using the ip
The CWS finds the server and connects.

i think the issue is older JAVA. the web setup depends on it.
can you enter setup through the menu in CWS?

You can try running the setup on the fiery lcd.
Enable remote desktop and web services from the panel.
I forgot there are buttons on the fiery.

On the LCD it has IP - reboot server restart server shut down. From the printer I have remote desktop enabled but. It doesn't connect.

The only problem I can think is that the os is corrupted.with clone tool it makes an exact copy or is there a chance to repair it?
