    C258 Waste Toner Question

    Hi everyone,
    I have a question about how the C258 detects when the waste container is full. I've noticed that if you have an empty container working in the machine and then replace it with a full one, the machine continues to operate.

    In that case, why does the machine display "prepare waste box" followed by "waste full"? I've also observed that when you clean or empty the peg, it resets again.

    Does anyone have insights on this? Thank you!

          Machine detects full when the clear plastic piece on back of waste box becomes full of toner. There is a photo sensor that shines a beam through that plastic piece, when it's full will prevent beam from shining through then message to replace waste box is displayed.

          If you put a full waste box in after a new one it may work for a while but eventually will display replace message.

              Thank you, Copyman. We are currently working on the CS remote data email regarding the waste readings and are looking for a solution. We understand that the initial trigger is to prepare the waste box; however, it seems to require a certain number of clicks before it displays the waste full change now message , and then it simply resets with a clear window
              I appreciate your help with this. Thank you!
