C-458/558 Paper Feeding and Bypass issues...

Hey guys. I've got a C-558 that's got the combined problem of not feeding from the Bypass (throws a Bypass code) but also locks out and doesn't feed from Tray 2. My understanding is that the Paper Feed Drive Unit goes bad on these and quits driving those 2 sections. I've gotten one apart in the shop and it seems like the problem could be the one way bearings and the plastic shaft that the bearings ride on. Has anyone else seen this? I understand that this drive section has been changed/updated in the newer models, just wanted some ideas/feedback before I try to go back to the customer.
    Thanks!

You are correct. The gear with the oneway bearing in it is the culprit. Sometimes they also score up the shaft it rides on pretty badly, so a new shaft might also be in order.

The part number that elmaligno recommended is the entire drive assembly.
