Info on accurioprint 2100. I like my 1051 but I am sick of it.

Looking to upgrade possibly to an Accurioprint 2100. It has the max paper size we need. I have had my 1051 since 2011. We have been servicing since 2019 but parts are getting harder to find. I really don't have time to service this thing since my time is divided from wearing too many hats as it is. Is there anyone running this particular machine?

I work with them and they are not bad, they are an improved version of the PRO1100. It is important, as always, to do the maintenance when it is due and in a correct way. It is also important to update the firmware and that the customer or the technician does not turn off the main switch directly, but press the secondary switch and wait for the machine to indicate on the screen that it can be turned off, because otherwise it will damage a board that comes wrong in the first units.
Other curious things is that it uses LED, not laser and that the toner tank is where it should be, above the developer unit, not in the lower left corner, which makes toner transport less problematic.

They are pretty reliable. So was the 1051 though. Biggest problem we've seen with them in a tendency to blow the printer control boards due to a flaw in the circuitry driving "M8" vertical conveyance motor. New boards have supposedly corrected this issue.

Update the special ROM(GMB-20) or the mass production ROM(G00-30) can reduce the
probability of C-0104 occurrence. Shut down the machine according to the correct procedure.Otherwise, unexpected electronic board failure will occur as i explained before.

Yeah... Unfortunately we are at the mercy of 2000 teachers using the equipment.

In your particular case, and for this problem having so many users, I can only think of hiding somehow from the main switch.
