    Bypass Tray Paper Type Mismatch

This is my first post, so appreciate any help or support.

I have a customer that is using a Bizhub C3320i A4 device and they regularly print permits on thicker stock. They're not very IT savvy, so to keep them away from driver settings I have created them 2 print queues. One for Plain Paper from Tray 1 & one for the Bypass Tray loaded with Thick 2 Stock. I've defaulted the Bypass to Thick 2 & also set the 'Byp. Tray Overwrite Sett. for Print PC' to Machine priority.
The problem however is that the program they use has no paper type options whatsoever and will only send 'Plain paper' jobs regardless of the Printer Properties in the driver. So although it works, the user has to select the Bypass Tray on the touch panel every time they print, due to the mismatch in paper type. Once chosen, the paper is happily drawn through Using the Thick 2 settings.
Does anyone know a way to eliminate the user action required after hitting print?

I've tried all the paper handling options I can think of or find, but there doesn't seem to be a way of telling the bizhub to just print the job without asking for confirmation.

i feel ya, ultimately it falls on their application not you.
i had a florist that their app only printed a 10x4 postcard on card stock and a plain paper invoice all in same print job.
the c250i got mad and stopped to ask for thick letter size after printing the postcard. because it cant change paper types mid job i had to get them to use 24# paper and lie and set to thick as well so the job goes right through. (20# was curling from the excess heat and since its a florist its humid as it can be without walls dripping.
is the bypass added to the auto-paper selection?
this issue is the application, i have the same issuue with M$ envelopes and mailings in Word. it will always try and use plain paper settings for an envelope. had to make an envelope queue printer and disable "let windows choose the default printer".

    good luck.

its frustrating but the copier is only doing exactly what its told from the program, they should consult the software support team and see if there is a prescribe command that can be altered within the app to allow mixed paper types.
but make sure the bypass is in the auto paper selection

We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

Thanks for sharing your experience, appreciate it!

Bypass is excluded from Auto-paper, not that it matters because all jobs are arriving as plain paper, so it'll only ever grab from Tray 1 anyway being the only Plain paper choice.
Like you I created a separate queue called 'Permits' (Thick 2) to simplify and avoid confusion, but sadly it doesn't keep quiet when hit with that Plain paper job.

Customers very cool about the situation, I've explained it without them feeling fobbed off and so I just wanted to be sure I'd done my best to see if there was a better workaround.
