    Skewed scans on multiple 4020i, 5020i and 3321i

    Hi,

    I noticed in past dozen of A4 MFPs, models Bizhub 4020i, 5020i and 3321i that scans are a bit, but noticeably skewed to the right towards bottom. At first I thought it is a lonely case, customer said it is OK, but now I had chance to install a dozen of those and all have same issue. I suspect now it is me something missing there? Anyone with simmilar experience lately?

      What have you tried against?
      Plus there's no 3321i model and colour one C3321i isn't Brother rebadge.

          Well, for now, as I am not printer tech, I just tried AUTO unskew software settings on 4020i and 5020i copiers. Still waiting what KM will say about this.
          And sorry, I meant C3321i model - I installed only 1, so I do not know if issue is widespread or not. On this particular machine ADF is visibly skewed from factory, but it has no adjustment screws, at least that was my amateur observation.

              We have received a number of these small machine with ADF damage right out of the box. I'd inspect the hinges of the ADF and see if they are cracked or damaged in some way that isn't overly obvious. We've replaced a few set of hinges to date on these style machines.
              A Ricoh Service Tech for 7 year. A Konica Minolta Service Tech for 7 years. Now, KM service manager for 4 years.
              My Ricoh knowledge is slowly dwindling away at this point. Many things have been lost to time...

                  Brother updated hinge long ago I don't know if KM are getting modified hinge.

                          Just FYI.
                          Konica part is ACEUPP1200 Hinge Assy /Left and latest Brother part is D00M4G002 HINGE L ASSY.
                          Never had to replace right hinge though.
