    C-360i, not fusing, offsetting....

Here's what I've done so far
    machine has 90K on it
    *Replaced the Fuser, no change
*Checked that there is only OEM toner in the machine
*Only thing I could do was change the paper to Thick 2 and that seemed to stop it.

I have not gone in to check fuser temp settings, but have no reason to think that was off?

F/W is (pretty close to) up to date, at level P anyway.
I would also think that if this was a drive unit problem, not putting pressure between the rollers, I would have an error code. No codes, but the customer reported that the machine said "Fuser Is Hot" or something like that, but I did not see this. Customer also reported that the machine was feeling "very hot" when they went in to clear jams, which was happening in the Fuser until i changed paper thickness.

    Any help welcome!

Have you fitted the modified fuser, where you have to put the small piece of metal under the left hand side of the fuser, then you have to turn on engine dipswitches 12 and 40. the customer reporting that the machine is hot, I'll put money on, when they open the right hand door to clear the jam, the display shows a warning that "the fuser is hot", amount of customers who see that, and report the device says it's overheating, and they leave the door open, to allow it to cool down.....
Tip for the day; Treat every problem as your dog would.....If you cant eat it or f*ck it....then p*ss on it & walk away...

The KM tech support has had us change the fusing transport speed to -7 (it's usually set to +7 at default) and to raise fusing temp +10c.
If this doesn't fix the smearing issue, you need to replace the fuser with the new style fuser and settings like others have mentioned before.
