    Biz C654- C552 Output tray OT-503

A while back I posted in the wanted section but never received a response so figure I would post here. I'm looking for a new or used OT-503 output tray (see pic). This was an option and hard to find since most C654-552 models were sold with finishers. I removed the finisher because of issues on my customers C654 and he has been calling me every two weeks asking if I found one yet. Not sure if I need the fan that came with the OT-503 since this customer is low usage. Thanks in advance

When we have removed the finishers we have been using the standard output tray that comes with the 4 & 8 series machines. You can get it from Precision Roller with the little duplex output support. I believe the one you have shown will shift sort. I know I had one of those units you're looking for, but I think that i tossed it.

Are you saying the 4/8 series exit tray will fit tight or just sit in the cavity?

The OT-503 does not shift sort. It's just an exit tray and the fans cool paper for high volume runs.

But your post did give me an idea to see if a job separator was available for the C754 and there is, JS-602. Going to look around for one of them as well.

The standard output tray from a C659 may be a close second option

Ha-ha, your information was wrong on both. The standard 4 & 8 series tray doesn't work as it blocks the paper from exiting, and the OT-503 in my OP pic in not a shifting tray.

I guess i would have to see a pic. We remove the finishers on both the 4 and 8 series up to the 554/558 series all the time and that tray works. Maybe the 654 is different

No problem. It was worth a shot. I was hoping it would work because the hot humid months are coming and exit tray helps with curling. Plus I have a lot of those 4 & 8 series trays. But you did give me idea to try a few other trays I may have. Anything to catch paper and angle upwards as it exits would help.

When it comes to curling at the exit , I ask the customer if they care if the paper comes out landscape as this usually corrects the problem. Lately on the new I- series konica I have been putting some thin Mylar at the exit to assist the paper from falling down too soon when printing Portrait
