[Misc] AccurioPrint 2100 - TWM4 Card Reader

Hi

According to Kiku, the correct LDD for this machine is ADF20Y0-A031-G00-02/0D56 which is for a TWM4 Multitech Card Reader. Please see attached photos.

This reader recognises the card. Plugged it into the PC and code was outputted. Plugged into the 2100 and it beeps but papercut does nothing.

Does anyone know If there's another TWM4 that will work with this machine or recommend any advice on the above.

Apparently the same card reader attached worked but with LDD ADF20Y0-A031-G00-01 but doesn't on 02. Is anyone able to recommend a card reader for the 2100 that can read all types of cards.

I have not had the same issue you are describing, but I have had to dig deep on these devices before. I also reached out to Elatec directly and they were super helpful in getting my issues sorted out.

There are 2 versions of the TWM4 and yours is the older version, the new one one is branded MultiTech2 on the sticker on the back (TWN4 MT2).

We also discovered that depending on where you sourced the reader, it may have come "pre-loaded" with the correct RFID protocols for reading all fobs or just certain brands of fobs - our example was the client was using iProx cards which is only supported on the TWN4 MT2 when upgraded to the "P Option".

The symptom was the reader beeped with a card, but nothing was processed. To resolve this, Eleatec sent us the firwmare programming suite for the device and we had to purchase an "Upgrade Card" that you then beep on the reader to apply the upgrade.

I don't know if that is what you are experiencing, but certainly something to watch out for.
