    C450 Paper Dehumidifying Heater?

I went on reading the service manual of our C450, and at one point a solution is to "install Paper Dehumidifying Heater". Out of couriosity, is there a Paper Dehumidifying Heater for the Bizhub C450? I could not find anything at the net about it.

its not listed in the price sheet, i dont recall any HT unit on that series either.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

      That's what I suspected.
Just to avoid damging my reputation, let me quote the SM page 412 (PDF page 449):
"Paper is damp. YES Change paper to one just unwrapped from its package. Install Paper Dehumidifying Heater."

its listed out of the normal sources, HT-509 also needs Mk-734 to power it.
big problem trying to find any of those

To use the heater HT-509, the paper feed cabi-

the power supply Box MK-734 are required.

Thats interresting. At least it is in existance. I thought they maybe planned, but never realized it. Thanks for your research!

So, does anybody have any experiance with such HT units in the small business copiers? I expect them to work quite well in the bizhub press series etc. but how do they work in the small machines? It seems to be nothing else than a heater? How long do they have to be active to dehumidify 500 sheets? We have some recycling papers that we really love, that come out quite wavy, even if we set fusing to to lowest possible temperature. Does anybody think it makes sense to try to get hold of one, or is ist quite useless, or take ages before there is any effect noticeable?

to me its a bandaid on a broken arm looks cool but does very little if anything.
get some silica gel packs and keep them in the trays.
proper storage and care of media is more useful than a heater that causes a sauna inside.
if they actually worked there would be so many more installed out there.

I see. If somebody of you very experianced people would have told now something like "go for it, it is really making a difference and within 10 minutes of heating you get noticable better resoults", I would not abandon the idea, like I do now.
The silica gel idea is maybe worth thinking about it.

In general, I like this kind of "archeology" and getting older informations and subsequently sometimes the stuff as well. Now after reading the documents above I got courious about the "EFI Impose V2.5 for IP-901". We are doing all the imposing with Quite recently at the local computers. Do you know if it is possible to get old versions of EFI Impose?

you have the IC-402 fiery, the 901 is a S300 fiery, external tower controller.
not avail for your fiery and besides there is no longer legacy model support on the new Fiery site as EFI sold it off.
