In central Virginia & we use the Konica recommended rates for most our contract customers. Past couple of years we have taken on a couple customers (relators, small print operations) who print full page, full color which obviously uses much more toner than a typical color print. While Konica does say rates for this type of printing should be higher to compensate, it does not specify any rates. Is there a way to more fairly price service contracts for these type of customers? What rates are others charging for Konica copier service contracts (include labor, parts & toners)?

The industry norm is around 6 cent for letter size full color and 1 cent for black. Make sure you have machine setup to double click meter for 11x17 & 8.5x14.
I know a large dealer who lost a lot of money with print shops running heavy color thick stock.
Personally I would price higher and if customer wants to go somewhere else for less let them. I would rather let them go than lose money! After all this is business not a hobby!
