Gentlemen
It turns out the firmware I installed that created the problem somehow corrupted the NVram. I have a NVram from a c364e that I saved for years. It looked almost identical to what was in the 224e. I put it in the machine. It was now not rebooting but it would not go beyond two shark fins. So I turned the copier off. Placed the flash drive in the USB with the flap and it took the firmware that Synthohol provided and it booted up and is working!
I'll never install firmware on a 4 series machine again. I'll upgrade the machine before I do that again.
Thanks for all the help.
