Those Kyocera/Olivetti A4 machines are the right answer to todays market. The new ink tank type desktop machines are surprising me, they are reliable and cheap. That could close some doors on SLA's.

Not sure if they were still current in 2010, but anyone remember those Magicolor series with the carousel design? Like the 1600w........ I still have nightmares about them.

Yea the last one was the C10. Still remember the way that machine could shake a flimsy table.

I still have two of them in use in my office. Dedicated to print adhesive labels. All 2x2 cassettes preloaded with all types of labels we have, so no need to get up every time to put another sort of label in the manual feed of our standard MFP's. Also do I have enough toner and other supplies for those little noisy critters for a decade.

Pretty much all the machines born during this century are a significant improvement over the ones from the 70s and 80s. My personal pet peeve were the Panasonics, but some of the Toshibas were truly lousy as well. As were some of the Sharps.

Any pretty much any iSeries machine, as I firmly believe they are terrible as far as consumables go - yet to see a drum reach anywhere near its stated lifespan!

Maybe you are very young but I don't know if you remember the Sanyo Z series in the 90s they were like the A4 of Km or worse and that they were B/W

I still keep a special place in my heart to HATE the Konica Minolta C25.

l can cope with all his always-failing A4 descendants, but that little piece of crap...

i hate all the ricoh colour a3 up till MPC 3500, then we give up on ricoh and change to KM, it was a best decision ever made.

Aficio 1224C gives me a gag reflex, too LOL - funny thing is that the update model A3224 was quite OK but sold very little because everybody expected it to be the same fuckup.
