    C454e won't scan because it says "preparing ocr dictionary startup please wait."

    Gentlemen

    I completely removed the i-option lk-105 and lk-101 from the copier using the deactivation codes. I removed the additional memory and removed the ocr library and ocr dictionary. The only thing I noticed when checking the firmware version there is a ocr font and unicode font that says registered. I did upgrade the firmware still wont scan. Should I reinstall the ocr library data file? If so I would need that file if someone would happen to have one. Thanks

      I found an ocr dictionary file from a c3851. It installed. I tried formatting the hard drive. No difference.

          I finally got the dictionary message to go away. I went to user settings (scan settings) and manipulated a few settings not knowing it would change anything and it did. This took way too long.
