Ancient cf3102e nv meter counter memory corrupted

I have been working on an ancient CF-3102 as a learning experiment and it is throwing error codes C-3E02 and C-3FFD. The meter count memory is corrupted and may be what is interrupting the boot process (7+ Billion copies doesn't seem correct). I was hoping reinstalling the firmware would help but not such luck.

I can't seem to find a way to get this old gal to boot up. Any ideas?

Just a guess but could it be the battery?

Weird you posted this because a few days ago I found a few boxes of C3102 parts I was going to throw out. Boards, HDD, etc etc. Let me know if you need anything. Just pay the shipping.
