"the optical photoconductor needs to be replaced" message on c558 with apple

    Gentlemen.
I have the warnings turned off on the copier. I told the customer to ignore it but it would be nice if there is way to remove that message. I've read a bit about it and it looks like an issue with the mac drivers. Just want to be sure I'm not missing something.

You could disable the SNMP protocol I think.
    Whatever

Ok. Should it be done on the copier interface side or the print driver portion?

        copier side.

if you dont want it to effect the Windows PCs you could just change the SNMP name from Public to something else.

There are at least 3 places in CE mode to enable/disable consumables messages, plus soft switches 227 and 230.

Im pretty sure its the software switches hide that message on Macs etc. Machine needs function v3.3 or newer.

              To hide consumable life
              Switch 227 Hex 80
              Switch 230 Hex 08

Set hex back to 0 to display.

Bizhub C358 missing 'Device Comsumables' tab
