SD-511 vs SD-512 Saddle Stitch Kit compatiblity in FS-534 (square peg/round hole)

    Hi all.

I've been looking for a SD-511 Kit to install into my FS-534 finisher attached to my BizHub c454e with no luck. While it looks like I can buy a FS-534-SD finisher in many places, I cannot pay $400 shipping on a $300 used finisher.

I noticed that the SD-512 and SD-511 saddle kits seems nearly identical INTERNALLY (the actual folding and finishing guts).
The "outlet/catch bin" appear different though: the FS534 saddle kit just seems to have a "hopper" bin to catch things. The FS-535-SD saddle kit seems to have a driven belt drive.

    QUESTION 1:
Are the INTERNAL folding/saddle stitcher parts the same between the SD-511 and SD-512?

    QUESTION 2:
Do the SD-511 and SD-512 kits have motherboards on them that are flashed with something where the saddle stitcher reports to the copier "I'm a 511 not a 512 (or vice, versa)" Or, would an c454e just know "I have a saddle stitcher" and/or "I do not have a saddle stitcher"?

    QUESTION 3:
If I were to just physically cut out the back cover so the SD-512 INTERNAL kit can be installed and the booklets have an "exit chute", could I rig some kit up to make it work?

    QUESTION 4:
If you have a SD-511 kit in a dusty drawer, and wanna sell it, won't you please contact me? lol.

We could pull a complete SD511 out of a lightly used FS534 finisher and send you the complete "kit". I even think it would ship UPS. So it would be pretty cheap for you. Would also include the original factory installation instructions. If interested, contact me at digscoins@yahoo.com. Thanks, Jim
