C250i - Error Code C-2152 Caused by.... Fuser?

Called out to a C250i, error on the screen C-2152 which relates to the belt, check the belt and no issues there.

Close the side door, open and close the front door to clear the code and then I can hear a rumbling sound from the fuser, and then BAM! C-2152 Again. looks like the traingle gear that drives the fuser has skipped and is not locating properly to the fuser, remove fuser and re-fit, cheat the door and close it 3/4 of the way to make sure the gear engages with the fuser and issue is now gone.

Strange? anyone had this? have had it twice now and not sure if its the fuser thats causing the issue or the fuser drive?

If the fuser is heavy on the gears it might throw a 2152 error. Also, check if the door is closing properly and the lever that engages the gearbox is pressed firmly.
LE: if you "cheat" the door sensor make sure you press that lever in any way. Otherwise it will throw c-2152

Sorry to rebump this old thread, but there's another growing problem with the mid-range i Series and the C-2152 code.

If you pull out the Waste Toner Conveyance unit you'll see waste toner piling up under it (to the left of the Yellow DV Unit). Problem with this is the fan that sits about halfway back in this channel - it takes the waste toner and blow it up and above the transfer belt (including in to PS39). You will also occasionally hear a grinding sound when the machine pushes waste toner forward.

Haven't nailed down if it's the conveyance ass'y itself or the drive, but a heads up if anyone sees this code.

I would like to thank everyone in this thread and link my topic just for the future references.
Machine in question C550i with 20k counter. Was giving intermittently these codes mostly C2155. Trouble type C2152: Transfer belt fault at initial position return C2155: Transfer belt contact fault after K pressure established Cleaned PS39 from inside wasn't dirty at all. Swapped ITB with

Millennium do you have a picture?

I don't, but it was the same issue as blackcat's last message in that thread. Gonna double check the waste toner entry point that he showed.

Thanks, then it should be "AA2JR73600 waste toner pipe assy". I had it blocked on C360 before usually customers called for grinding noise.
