I-series combined with omnikey g2 readers.

    Hi.

On our i-series Konica machines we have coupled them with Omnikey G2 readers but we have now seen that the readers can suddenly "reset" themselves out of the configurations that we have made on them and we have to travel to the customers and configure them anew. After we do that they start to work again.

Does anyone here have any experience with this as to why this happens?

As far as i know this has not been an issue with previous series as the 8-series.

I have worked with Gen 1 and Gen 2 readers for over 10 years, I have never had one reset itself back to factory. I have had them fail, but to my knowledge, the only way to get back to factory settings is to open the console and select reset/apply. A Desfire card could also be used to change the config. I think you have something else going on here. E

A recent bulletin release may be of some help to you:

      AU-205H GEN2 Card Reader issues with i-Series
      Attached Files
A Ricoh Service Tech for 7 year. A Konica Minolta Service Tech for 7 years. Now, KM service manager for 4 years.
My Ricoh knowledge is slowly dwindling away at this point. Many things have been lost to time...
