its possible the machine and type need to be set correctly boot from a firmware stick, select machine and type and make sure they arent both set to ff.
based on the first four serial#s will determine the machine and type settings when referenced in the service manual.

First four digits of the serial number	AA7N	AA7P	AA7R
[Machine]	10	10	10
[Type]	C	A	0

then i would run firmware for whatever model you trick it into thinking it is

Thanks for the replay, where do I edit Machine and type, do I edit files in the firmware or can I select this at the firmware install?
