    Konica C364 Ghosting

Hi all, got a used Konica C364 for our office and it was having an issue printing where a line would show up consistently across all prints. Changed out the fusing unit and that solved the issue and everything was printing beautifully, until yesterday. Now we're noticing that there is ghosting across all colours, and it's in the exact same spot on every letter size page (I printed 20 colour pages and all of them had the same ghosting in the same spot). I also noticed that there is toner on the brown roller in the fuser (you can make out letters and parts of previous printing) - is this normal, or should it be clean? What should I be checking out next on this machine? Thanks for all your help!

For sure fuser should be clean(no spots on brown belt).
Open door mid-printing and check jammed page for image defects prior fuser, if there aren't fuser is your culprit. If you are familiar and can enter CE mode check fuser temperature may be set too low for whatever reason.

Managed to pull a sheet out right before the fuser and it is indeed fine with no marks until it gets into the fuser. Also tried increasing the temp/lowering the speed slightly with no change. Will get in touch with the company we bought the part from and get a new one on the way. Thanks for your help!

If fuser is refurbished I would say Yes.

Sounds like you got a bad fuser. Probably rebuilt and not OEM new. Not sure why you would have ghosting in "same exact spot" since the fuser roller & belt is rotating and would cause defect to move on prints?

That is for sure a bad fuser, need to replace it with new one or a good used one.
