    Moving User Boxes

For those wanting to move User Boxes between devices - I've had some success using this method - doesn't seem to want to move any with any contents in

Admin mode - Security setting- page2- Maintenance mode access - set to allow

Service mode- System 2 - page 3 - Maintenance mode - set to effective

an extra button pops on on the bottom left in service mode - machine update settings - select it, then machine auto update settings - machine export settings, highlight what you want to export, but from experience everything is selected, so deselect what you don't want

    enter password and start

to import, as above, but depending on function/FW version there is a button Machine import settings - if you don't see this button, update FW and function version

to go into maintenance mode on the i series, go to admin then security - security details - maintenance mode

When you have finished, the device will still be in "Maintenance mode" even after rebooting - there'll be a big arrow at the top left of the screen - press it then exit
    maintenance mode
Tip for the day; Treat every problem as your dog would.....If you cant eat it or f*ck it....then p*ss on it & walk away...

    Re: Moving User Boxes

Very few customers use the box function to store documents, those that due are informed of the HDD backup utlitity and how to use it, but my techs are not responsible for the loss or movement of any stored documents. One way to move the documents is by emailing them and then uploading them onto the ne HDD or new device, but this is not something the tech should have to do (maybe a billable engagement). E

      Noted, Thanks for the tip!
A tree is known by its fruit, a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost, he who sows courtesy, reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
