    [Misc] Bizhub C258 repating printing defect

    Hello, friends!

    I have Bizhub C258 with repeating printing defect on every 97mm.
    Can someone tell me is one of the OPC drums causes the defect, or some roller in the fusing unit?
    I tried to search for some info but didn't find any.

      OPC drum circumference is about 95mm so it is culprit 99%.
      Try to print one by one CMYK halftone sample and if problem is on only one sample, fusing unit is not problem in that case.

                  Try to time it so that you can open the front door after the image is on the paper but before it has passed through the fusing unit. That should narrow it down.

                      Easiest thing to do is what toxic suggested. Go into service mode and print separate test pages of all four colors. This will narrow down to which drum has the defect.

                          what colour is the defect ? if it is cyan yellow or magenta you can swap the drums over and see if the defect moves
                          eg if its a cyan defect swap the cyan and yellow drum see if it then becomes a yellow defect
                          only the colour drums are easy swappable

                                  Hello friends!
                                  Thanks a lot to all of you!
                                  The problem was with the black drum unit.
                                  I have rebuild it (replacing the OPC drum, wiper blade and the chip) and now the printout is ok.
