    Konica Minolta C450i - ADF

    Hi guys,

Got a Konica Minolta C450i that when scanning/copying from the ADF is puts a yellow tinge on the background, copying from the platen glass works absolutely fine.

tried replacing ADF and not changed

    machine is on latest firmware

Not sure but if that model has dual scan board like older models maybe try another one.

      Hello,

I know this issue: In most cases CCD has to be re-adjusted/-calibrated.

You can try using Service Mode:
      - System2>CCD Calibration

If this does not solve, you will have to re-calibrate CCD manually.

There are screws with red marks on it. Turn the screws only very carefully and try to scan again. - It takes a couple tries and often a lot of time.

If you have the service manual have a look at page F-20 (200).

Attached you'll find a sample scan of this failure.

      Good luck!

It goes directly into the MFP

Re: Konica Minolta C450i - ADF

            Hello,

if it is down to that, how come it wouldn’t affect copies on original glass(flatbed) but does ok the ADF?
I cannot explain. - I just experienced it exactly that way more than once.

            Best regards,
            Ro

            PS:
            Besides: I
colleague of mine just replaced a CCD and the described phenomena occured after replacing CCD.

              Hi,
              1. Make three glass tests, necessarily on A3.
              2. Then do the same by gently lifting the entire scanner upwards with your left hand.
              3. If the streaks move, the problem is with the CCD
              4. If there are no streaks, do the same from the ADF

Sometimes someone inattentive will lean against a scanner that will leave them and such problems can arise.
C450i scanner tends to fall (left side)

If the streaks do not move when lifting the feeder with the left hand (this can be done professionally on the adjustment) I bet on the CPU

              Sorry for my English

LEGEND, adjusted the CCD with the red screws and managed to sort the issue,

dont really like messing with those ones but eyyy it atleast it is sorted, just weird it didnt do it on the flatbed
