Bizhub c658 with c164

Hi guys,

I have a bizhub c658 that's had some boards swapped over and now has a c164 error.
I understand I need special firmwares GOO-16 and GG9-84 to fix this but I can't seem to find it on Knova.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

If you've swapped boards and got this code, odds are you don't need "special" firmware, you just need whatever firmware you have laying around. Latest version is probably your best bet, but any will do at this point.

The error indicates that either the wrong firmware is installed, or more likely with the board swaps, the machine type is set wrong. Just boot up to whatever firmware you have and select the Machine Type button on the right side of the screen before the firmware update starts. Set the machine type to the correct settings, which you can get from the service manual. If you are using the latest, or at least a recent version of firmware, to boot from I'd probably let the firmware update run as well to insure that everything is on the same version.

Code Explanation:
The wrong model of firmware is detected in the MFP board when the main power switch is turned ON or machine type information (Machine, Type) registered to the machine differs from the actual machine type.

With board swaps, the machine type is set incorrectly. Just boot with whatever firmware you have and select the Machine Type button.

Just got this done (some numpty had swapped the back panel and the previous guy just used that serial)
