I think you might be out of your depth here, if you start swapping boards around as said above you might end up with 2 broken machines.

They are not on firmware version 7, they are on function version 7.

Well I leave them be then, they won't get much use since I'm going out on a Holiday so if I comeback and everything is fine then its all good.

the non-e series is dead and gone. there should be no more updates offered in the future.
honestly im happy if they just power up!
boards marry the machine they are in and swapping them and getting them to function is like catching a greased pig with chopsticks in a pit of motor oil in the rain.

Oh I do get it, we occasionally did it, we had that one guy who always managed to get it to work. Its too much fuss for myself, If she does break down completely at least I have parts for the other one or vice versa.

Well here is an update...she just did it. First rotatation that lasted around 4 seconds while she's asleep. At this point I think she has a mind of her own 😂
