well fuck'em then
time to upgrade to a machine from this century or accept the alternate scanning methods. its not your fault the technology of today has surpassed the capabilities of that poor stegosaurus.
sorry, i just never let customers hold me hostage to things out of my control like security standards or OS upgrades when no driver had been certified for use.
thats some bullshit, i try to be as creative as possible with solutions but there is a line between what you want and what is possible and you will not hold me hostage because they are too lazy to use any of the alternate suggestions.
There must be line drawn between possible and impossible.A tree is known by its fruit, a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost, he who sows courtesy, reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.Comment

To save a retrieved document in a User Box, in [Administrator Settings]>[System Settings]>[User Box Settings]>[External Memory Function Settings], set [External Memory Document Scan] to [ON].
(pg 59 of the Advanced Operations Users Guide.)
You should be able to scan to USB with this function enabled. IIRC this function came defaulted to "Disabled". =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
