[Misc] bizhub c4050i 5min warm up and paper not recognized

    Hello,

like the title says, the c4050i has a long warm up and the paper is not recognized, and that already happened with the same model but different machine.
    We cleared the issue by:

    1. formatting the physical and logical format
    2. installing new firmware
    3. clear all data

even tho the problem was gone, it came back after 4 months, it sounds like it's a logic/system board issue.
    Anyone have encountered something similar?

    Many thanks in advance.

this is always a TCR issue. Older firmware has the no paper recognised in the tray bug when the TCR abnormaility happens.

Check TCR levels, guaranteed once of them is low.

Usual issue on these and not hard to fix.

75% of the time you can save the ius by power mixing them drum facing down with an electric screwdriver coupled to the dev drive CCW for 10-15 seconds. with newest firmware loaded you then run the reset stabilize with trays pulled and if see levels greater than 10% after the machine finishes you need to bring it down again. If affected IU still stays around 6% after exessive toner consumptio, throw it out and replace it. All IUS should be power mixed or at leased shaken before installation.

I have a large fleet of sparrow engines running trouble free
