konica c7000 bypass tray mb504 does not rise

my pf601 paper tray died. so i removed it and want to use the bypass tray to run some jobs only to find it does not rise.

It does show up on the machine as bypass tray dipsw 36 is on

problem is the tray does not lift. If i force it up when the machine is trying to draw paper in it does print.

i have tried replacing the lift motor A0P0M10000 from another machine unfortunately it doesnt work.

Any ideas ? did i miss anything ?

recheck all 5? connectors, sounds like the lift motor is not plugged in.
or ive seen the tray limit actuator stuck so it thinks its up all the time.

the lift motor is connected 2 pin connector. I tried a new motor also….
but what you mentioned about the tray limit actuator may be something to look into

would you be able to give more details on the tray limit actuator, where it is located and how to check it?

is there a dipsw setting to test ps25 and m35 ?

I suspect you have a damaged Conveyance Drive Board. I've been through this a few times. There is a green colored ICP right below the engine. It is in the top right corner of the Board. Check if it is burnt.

on that assy, the sensor that the feed assy blocks as the paper rises it looks like the metal frame is bent and the metal actuator never gets blocked and unblocked. bend the metal so the arm goes deeper in the sensor to block the eye.
The frame the sensor is mounted looks bent and the sensor is not being blocked by the actuator arm.

ok, so when you go to use the bypass the solenoid engages, the feed assy is supposed to drop onto the paper and the tray should rise then start feeding once that sensor is blocked and shows "paper set"
so either the lift motor is not energized or the solenoid that is supposed to release the take-up assy isnt releasing.
