[Error Code] konica c3320 error c-9403

Hi everyone,

Just after some advice on error code c-9403 on a konica c3320 - CIS LED lighting failure (back side)

The machine pops the code up on switch on, unplugged and reseated all flat cables from adf, scanner etc, no change. Ive swapped the adf with no change, the machine pops the code with adf unplugged. Firmware up to date.

I have seen the bulletin relating to flat cable problems causing scanner error c-9701, different error code but could be related?

Any advice before we start ordering boards etc would be appreciated, i'm really starting to fall out with these machines.

C-9403 error code. C-6755 may also be indicated.
"CAUSE:
CIS LED lighting failure possibly due to one of the following:

• Voltage
• Connection
• CIS shaft
• Position of CIS shaft

"SOLUTION: Please check the following items.
1. Voltage


2. Connector
Please pull out the main cable and CIS cable connectors and reseat securely. (Please confirm error code status after each cable is reconnected.)

3. CIS shaft
Please confirm whether the white surface on the CIS shaft is dirty/soiled. If so, please clean the surface.
4. Home position of CIS shaft
Please confirm whether the position of CIS shaft has shifted from the home position. If the CIS shaft has shifted, please reposition.

Note: When resetting the C-9403 code, the "Fault Isolation" feature may not allow copying or scanning using the DF-701. If you perform a Trouble Reset while leaving the DF-701 in the Open (Up) position, this will allow the Copy and Scan operations to be available.

Do you know that before the trouble code, was the reader glass uncharacteristically warm to the touch?

I had a C3350 that wouldn't turn on, then got it booting up but freezing when loading up -replaced 6 boards -replaced one then the other.... -then konica support told me to replace boards at the same time since one might have taken out the other. major delays in getting the boards. Etc.
Turns out it was the the CIS unit. after replacing it, a co-worker told me to change the energy settings -if the machine was left on for too long -it would just overheat. Not the same symptoms but maybe the same cause?

Either way, do everything you can initially because the boards might take forever to come in and you might have to order them multiple times.

Hello.
I had several issues related to the CIS MODULE error (c3320i). All malfunctions were directly related to the scanner cable.
There is information on InfoHub regarding the modification of parts for the scanner section.
There was a similar issue with the 4050i, but it was also related to the scanner cable.

For 9403 issue, may problem on USB cable that connect between CIS and PWB-MFP?
