    FS-537 with C-1132

I have a Biz958 with an FS-537 finisher. The history shows a ton of C-1132 (punch unit home sensor) errors, but as soon as I reset the code, the punch option disappears from the finishing screen. The punch unit is still enabled in the service mode, and it's not isolated either. The only thing I can think of is the punch unit PWB, but that's really hard to get a hold of. Any other ideas?

Sounds like the home sensor or board. I never liked those hole punch units in the bigger finishers. They always had issues going all the way back to the Di series. Of course Kon/Min stayed with this same footprint all these years! The punch kits in the smaller finishers like the FS536 & FS533 seem to work fine.

I have a FS-537 off a low meter machine if you need parts. Only reason it's for parts is the tray got bent during shipping but everything else is fine.

We had that same issue with an FS-537 brand new out of the box. We ended up warrantying the punch unit assembly (since it was new) to fix it.

Make sure that the connectors between the punch and FSCB are seated properly. Had badly seated connectors causing this code before.
        Whatever

Changing the punch unit board solved it. No idea why they're still making these dinosaur punch units that weigh 20 f'ing pounds. They were crap when they were in the 750's and they're crap now.
