No both use A03ur70300. However the C500 coronas work , but are approx 4 x the price!! Si

They are different. 6501 charge units are designed to use a height adjuster (to help eliminate uneven prints). I don`t know if they are compatable with each other, Ive never tried fitting a 6500 corona into a 6501 (or vice versa). If anyone has tried and results are ok please let me know so I can reduce my car stock !!!!
      Part numbers are A0UR71200 = 6501, A03UR70300 = 6500. Cheers

6500 crg units in 6501 will bite you in the but! they only last a short while before causing cq and misting problems.

I agree with Si that A03ur70300 work with both but if you have a fussy customer try using the A03ur70300 housing with C500 gold coated grids for best results on copy quality.

Thats one thing I have noticed, these coronas can have either gold or silver grids....whats the go with that?

PS I haven't seen any issues with either though...

The gold coloured grids intially were for the c500,the silver for the c5500/6500. Both are interchangable but the gold ones giving a prolonged life. However the gold units are approx 4 x the cost of the silver ones! This would be ok if they lasted 4 x longer which inevitably they do not!! So its a personal judgement/call which ones to use..Si

Hmmm, perhaps the reason is that we have some coronas left over from the 8050 & they are gold.....

They still seem to work OK.
